Trumpets

Welcome to our trumpet pages. For the non-specialist, don’t be daunted by all the categories, as the vast majority of players will be looking at the ‘Bb trumpet’ section. Orchestral players will require trumpets in various keys. For example, ‘C’, ‘D’, ‘Eb’ or piccolo. These trumpets are shorter in length than the Bb and sound higher in pitch.

Trumpets belong to the brass family, and are built using two distinct materials – brass and nickel silver. Nickel silver is harder wearing and is usually found on the tuning slides and valves. They are generally produced in one of two finishes – lacquer or silver-plate. You’ll find a drop-down menu on the products page when an option of ‘finish’ is available. Silver-plate is usually more expensive.
