This custom professional trumpet is a truly unique instrument and was made by Clifford Blackburn and Tina Ericsson of Blackburn Trumpets in the 1990s. It has a solid core to its sound and plays well in tune throughout the range.

Starting as an instrument repair business in Louisville, Kentucky USA in the 1970s, Blackburn Trumpets went on to become one of the leading manufacturers of custom trumpets and were known for their high quality, attention to detail and flawless workmanship.

Blackburn trumpets are widely regarded as being some of the best trumpets in the world and are still highly sought after by musicians of all kinds.

Features:

• Raw brass finish
• Louisville lead pipe. This is the most famous after-market lead pipe ever made for the full range of trumpets and was exported globally
• Ambronze bell material (unique to Blackburn)
• 1st valve pitch finder mechanism (unique to Blackburn)
• The valve block was probably supplied by the Donald E. Getzen company as Blackburn did not manufacture their own

All our second hand brass instruments are cleaned and set-up in our workshop prior to sale, ensuring that the instrument arrives with you in first class condition. Not all instruments have been through the workshop before listing, so if ordering please allow a few extra days for us to get the instrument ready, and in tip-top condition before sending it to you. Our second hand instruments are sold with a 6-month warranty, giving you complete peace of mind.
